MACTA 2018 Annual Conference & Trade Show Recap
More than 100 people attended the June 13 MACTA Conference & Trade Show, held at the University of Minnesota ContinuingEducation and Conference Center.
The day kicked off with video greetings from U.S. Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, with in-person comments following from their staff liaisons. Attendees enjoyed sessions on closed captioning, live-to-web video, legislative and regulatory issues and crisis communications.
The day’s highlight was keynote speaker Michelle Hutchison, who provided on-camera coaching to the entire group through interactive exercises, discussion and critique of a few brave souls willing to try out their skills in front of the entire group.
Thanks to everyone who visited the day’s sponsors and vendors; this year’s conference broke a record with nearly $10,000 in sponsorship dollars. A special thanks to Eric Strouse for chairing the conference committee, and to Mark Martinez, Tim Sasse and Cor Wilson for their additional assistance.
Finally, we want to recognize those attendees who traveled from outstate to be at the conference. We enjoyed meeting you and we hope to see you at more future events! So that we can continue to improve the conference experience, you will be receiving a link to a post-conference survey soon. Please be sure to fill it out!
